Restorative

This term means “rebuilding” or “restoring” teeth that are diseased or missing.

Most everyone is familiar with “fillings” and they are a part of this category. “ Silver’ fillings, or Amalgam fillings have long been the staple method of restoring teeth that been decayed, and even though they are still being used, other, newer, and better materials are now available. Porcelain, composite material, zirconia, and gold(..some things never go out of style!) to name a few are all considerations when restoring decayed, worn or missing teeth.

We will make recommendations based on your individual wants, needs, and situations.

Replacement

Healthy teeth and gums set the stage for replacement of teeth that may have been lost.

Even though some back teeth that have been lost may not show, a solid all-around bite is important not for just chewing efficiency, but to “spread out the force” of chewing, thus protecting weak teeth that may be present, minimizing wear of the remaining teeth, and also to keep excessive force off your jaw joint, or your TMJ.

In most cases it may not be necessary or even recommended to replace all the teeth someone may be missing. Individual recommendations and different method (for example, fixed or removable) will be presented considering your individual wants and/or needs.

Dentures, Partial Dentures, Bridges, and Implants are all methods of the replacement of missing teeth. All can be made to “look like they grew there” in that they show a minimum amount or no metal.

Tooth Whitening

Our office offers the latest professional strength techniques of whitening dingy, discolored, or yellowed teeth.

There are varying causes of tooth discoloration and we will make recommendations based on your wants and needs. For simple whitening we offer Tray whitening, and for those people who “want it NOW” we offer ZOOM Whitening, a power-bleaching method, which involves one visit and can remove years of “bad habits” and maintain your results with minimal touch-ups. Ask us about it!
Our newest service for badly stained teeth is “Kor Whitening”. Although this is available for all whitening patients, we recommend this method for “the hard cases”…like tetracycline staining….it is a “process, not an event”, but according to our research, it it the BEST available..ASK US ABOUT IT!!  By the way, we are the exclusive provider in the area!

Veneers/Lumineers

In some cases, we may recommend veneers— porcelain “facings” to achieve your desired result. Also, with this method of treatment, we can often achieve brighter and fuller smiles and even correct minor overlapping. We can show you photos of our numerous “Before and Afters” we have achieved.

Crowns

Teeth that are very weak or badly broken down often require crowns, or “caps” to achieve a strong, long-lasting result.

Crowns can be made of Gold, Porcelain, combinations of Porcelain and metal, Composite material, or Zirconia to name a few. Recommendations for your particular wants and needs will be presented to you.

Where “looks count”, we can provide you with crowns (and show you a lot of photos of our results) that are “dead-ringers” for natural ones...Gone are the days of that “dark line” at the neck of crowns! Ask us!
